'Ephemera' took over seven years to produce from inception to completion. It is the brainchild of writer and director Chelses Venkadathu, who has been chipping away on the project since 2012. It was filmed in the Chicagoland area over the course of six days. The 21 minute film had a production cost of $50,000. Principal Photography was in July of 2017 using the Arri Alexa Mini in 2K digital. Post Production wrapped in April of 2019. Yes, you can say that we took our time.
'Ephemera' had its theatrical premiere at the Chicago South Asian Film Festival in September of 2019. The film is making its way through the circuit and expects to be available on streaming services at the end of this year.
